For this reason they are great for helping to build a small bankroll, because the risk factor is non existent if it cost you nothing to enter at pacificpoker.com in the first place.[/tag]www.pacificpoker.com[/tag]

On www.pacificpoker.com the freeroll tournaments should be easy to find, just look under ‘Multi Table Tournaments’ and if you scroll down you should see the upcoming freerolls listed there. Once you click on the desired freeroll you then have to register for it.

Be careful here because some poker freerolls may cost points to enter, but some will be entirely free to enter. Once you have entered it’s just a case of sittin back and waiting for the table to appear so your tournament can begin.

Pacificpoker.com offers a number of freerolls on a weekly and monthly basis, which help to boost existing players funds along with helping the new players to get started too.

Once the online poker freeroll tournament itself begins, it is really up to you as a player how you choose to play. But, you should be aware that other players may not take such a tournament very seriously due it being a freeroll with a small scale prize pool.

As such there may be lots of loose play, especially in the early stages, so factor this into your gameplan and just play your best game. So as you can see it’s very simple to play in freerolls on www.pacificpoker.com or anywhere else oline. Just register onsite, take your seat, and play the best poker you know how to.

Playing at www.pacificpoker.com recently I heard someone arguing the point that poker should be considered a sport, because sports used to be considered what they are, due to the physical demands they have upon the body, but this perception of sport has changed somewhat in more recent years, take darts for example, there certainly isn’t any physical fitness required as it’s essentially just a game of skill in propelling a dart accurately, but still darts is considered a sport.

So should people campaign for pokers recognition as a sport? The fact is that some people such as my friend that I mentioned, already do in a way, but I don’t think that players who feel that way about the game necessarily have a great belief in poker being as much a sport as say, tennis, or athletics, they merely want poker to have that same prestige and renown as an important stage, where people who have trained themselves to a level of excellence in a pastime, can prove their skill and have it recognised on a wider scale.

Personally that sentiment of wanting professional poker players to be held in the same high regard as athletes I feel, is a just one, and I would love to see the game given the same prestige as such sports, but I feel it’s unlikely seeing that physical greatness is a visible and tangible thing, where as psychological greatness cannot been viewed with such excitement, even though a player may have made an amazing read or play during a pacificpoker.com game, it simply isn’t exciting for someone to watch who knows nothing of the game.

For this reason I feel that poker willl never be seen in the same light as other great sports, and although I mourn that fact, I really shouldn’t. Poker isn’t a sport I don’t think, it’s a game, but it’s the greatest game in the world, and as an online poker player I’ll settle for that.

The gameplay on Pokerstars in my opinion is exemplary and fits in very well and so concurs with the general theme of the site as a whole. www.pokerstars.com

After playing the site for the past half hour I found that the pokerstars graphics were good, and the atmosphere onsite seems friendly and relaxed, and I even made an Ace high flush in the first pot I got involved in, which is always nice.

Whilst playing at pokerstars, at any time the statistics for the current session can be viewed, as well as an area for making notes and of course the usual chat facilities are available too. I like the look of the cards, and the avatars which you can fill with a photo of yourself if you choose. The only thing that struck me as out of place was the background to the pokerstars playing table itself, but that’s a matter of taste and is irrelevent really in the context of the rest of the site looking excellent.

The main pokerstars page on site gives easy access to whichever game you might be looking for, and although when I checked under ‘tourneys’ I was met with a page full of different scheduled tournaments which might originally seem a bit confusing, there are extra tabs you can click to refine your search and find the exact tournament you want.

Overall I have to say the general feel of the pokerstars site is very good, I found the buttons and slide bars for betting and various actions easy to navigate, just as the rest of the site proved to be.

Pokerstars is definitely a site I would recommend and one which I will be spending more time on myself in the coming days too. www.pokerstars.com
